The Peoples Story

The Woman in Dover

In August of 2025 I was working at GardaWorld security. I picked up an extra shift at the Turkey Hill ice-cream plant. During one of the rounds I bumped into a curb using the company van. The van looked fine to me, so I didn't fill out the incident report. Turkey hill found damage on the van and complained to GardaWorld. It was in late August 2025,I was put on suspension and then terminated. In late August 2025 I couldn't find a job quickly to keep my apartment. So I moved out of my apartment and ...
Reincarnation

Past Lives With Taz #1

When it comes to reincarnation, I have little scientific proof, but I have a few theories. I believe that those who have past lives do sometimes meet others in past lives on multiple occasions. I do believe that my partner and I met as lovers on different occasions in the past. Particularly, the Breton and Russian ones I had. Me and my current lover remember being paired in those lives. I think that there is sort of a way to tell if people have had past lives. And a way to tell if *some* people haven’t, but most people it is hard to tell. People who definitely have had them have a certain energy to them. That energy usually comes off as wisdom, but it can come off as passion, knowledge, or other things. And the ones who definitely haven’t had past lives also have a different energy. They tend to be a little more selfish/self serving, or immature, or even a little oblivious. I believe that each life a person experiences has a certain ...

The Will to Live, a Holocaust Survivors Experience

Ruth Kapp Hartz, whose courage and strength helped her endure the horrors of the Holocaust and rebuild a life after tragedy, spoke recently at Bucks. Through her stories, we gain insight into the past and deepen our understanding of humanity and justice. Hartz is the subject of the book “Your Name is Renée: Ruth Kapp Hartz’s Story as a Hidden Child in Nazi-Occupied France” by Stacy Cretzmeyer, and she gave a talk on Nov. 13 at the Newtown campus. The event was presented by the School of Social and Behavioral Science and the Holocaust and Genocide Studies certificate program, in collaboration with the Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center. The Holocaust was one of the darkest chapters in human history, marked by unimaginable suffering and loss. In this tragedy, stories of survival shine as powerful reminders of resilience and ...

Andy Charles Anderson

My name is Andy Andrews. I was born in a little small town in Virginia. Near me was the site of one of the more aggressive battles during the Civil War. Cedar Creek Battlefield ran a few miles to different places, and there was different sections throughout the Shenandoah valley of other battles that happened that were part of the Cedar Creek campaign. There were many areas just north and ...

Meet Me At The Rail

The Tedeschi Trucks Band, (TTB), just completed a ten-day residency at the Beacon Theater in New York City. The residency ran from March 10th through March 28th. It was the 74th time the band played the historic theater, second only to the Allman Brothers Band, (ABB), who hold the Beacon record for most shows, with 238. The gene holds true, as Derek Trucks of TTB is the nephew of Butch Trucks, one of the founding members and original drummers of ...

Big Brain

Delilah

As a kid, I always loved learning. Whether that was going to museums and art galleries with my mom, paying attention to every detail in school, or doing summer art/outdoor programs. The same goes for nature. I grew up right across the street from a creek, so I always took the opportunity to go outside and play with the crayfish, newts, salamanders, and whatever else I could find. I always had a blast. The way my mom raised me was what led me to study Biology ...

The Caregivers

The mysteries of life – Are they really mysteries or just truths that we must learn as we live each day, one day at a time. We can't seem to know the answer to these mysteries, if we do question them and are even given the answers in advance by those who have already lived and thus learned them. No, we have to learn them for ourselves and live do not recognize the real truth them for ourselves, and sometimes even then. Maybe that's the mystery in life. Was I waxing philosophical? It must be the crisp winter air. or the fact that I was alone, walking across the frozen ground, sort of chilled by the cold And chilled by the reality that I was walking on my parents' former home land, which now I owned, but which could never be home to me again, because the ones who made it home were no longer there. I glanced in toward the ...

Learning the Party

On Wednesday nights, my eleven-year-old son grabs his backpack, his dice, and a couple books that look far too serious for a sixth grader, as we head to our local Dungeons & Dragons club. In a room full of folding chairs, tables, and imagination, he becomes part of an adventuring party. My son is on the autism spectrum, level one to be exact. The world can feel unpredictable to him. Video games, the flashing lights and constant urgency, can overwhelm and overstimulate him. Dungeons & Dragons is different. Around a table with other kids, there are rules. Turns. Structure. A shared story. At first, it did not go so smooth. Naturally, he wanted to ...

Crystal Ball

Three dire omens since 2019.
This past Tuesday I purchased a crystal ball in Shippensburg. I observed an unsightly visage who introduced himself as Smooth Melvin, Lord of the Earth's Mantle, which is green. He warned me of the doom of the earth by nuclear holocaust and said the secret to saving it is beneath Shippensburg. I have returned the crystal ball. I am not diagnosed schizophrenic but they will continue to try.

LOVERMiND

LOVERMiND Wins Karnival of the Arts — But the Momentum Was Already Building On February 27th, emerging duo LOVERMiND took first place at the Karnival of the Arts Battle of the Bands, delivering a performance that felt less like an upset and more like a public confirmation of something long in motion. For Aiden Barrow and Emery Whitescarver, the win wasn’t a beginning. It was an unveiling ...

Because It’s a Lion

Because It's a Lion first began in 2015 on Facebook. I had a group and posted lion facts & photos.
I also met some people who owned or ran lion sanctuaries in Africa.
We began holding online art auctions to support those sanctuaries. Most took in lions from zoos around the world and lions that were ...
